La Chinita Poblana - Tiny B Rip Taqueria

La Chinita Poblano - "Asian Inspired Tacos"
Two simple thoughts run through my mind before leaving for a night in Broad Ripple. Number one, what we will be eating, and two, who's the designated driver? For now, let's just focus on number one.

The night was young and my starvation was already growing old. While striving to find a parking spot, my sister and I drove by a small, somewhat hidden taco joint with a sign reading. "La Chinita Poblana" and below read  "ASIAN INSPIRED TACOS." I was instantly intrigued and excited to have a taste. The set up was simple and straight to the point. There were no chairs and no tables. Which told me this was perfect for the fast pace of Broad Ripple life. A get in, eat your food, and head to the bar type of establishment.

Beef Tongue
Ox Tail

Being new, but soon to be regular customer's, George Munoz (owner and operator hailing from Chicago) politely suggested to us the crowd favorite. This is the well prepared "Tilapia", which is a taco topped with yellow curry blackened with chipotle mayo and mixed with pickled nappa cabbage. Lastly, it is seasoned with some fresh herbs. In other words, it was perfection inside of a tortilla. The tacos ranged from the safe options of chicken and steak recipes to the daring beef tongue recipe, which is as scary as it sounds, but it was my absolute personal favorite (Can't hate it unless you've tried it!). Prices on these delicious unorthodox tacos are simply $3 each. I was satisfied on my third taco, with no need to eat the rest of the night.

If you're still not satisfied, tacos are not all they have in store. The menu ranges from tacos, to deserts, to salads, and even to bubble teas. Bubble tea (also known as "Boba tea") contains a tea base mixture, mixed with some sort of milk and or fruit, and in the bottom of the tea lay small tapioca balls that are full of flavor. Also available with ice blends which give the already tasty drink a slushy type of feel. The price on these tasty beverages are $3.99 each.

927 E. Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis IN 46220 (Inside the old Boogie Burger Location, backside of the B Rip Strip). Making a stop at this well put together establishment is highly recommended on your next stop in Broad Ripple.

Hours are;
Sunday-Wednesday 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
Thursday 11:30 AM to 2:00 AM.
Friday-Saturday 11:30 AM to 4:00 AM.

Eat on; and since we'll be in Broad Ripple, I vote you to be the designated driver.
