Broad Street Bar Hopping (Nashville, TN)

Nashville is a whole other planet of awesome. The Indianapolis bar scene is full of some of the best DJ's you could hear nationwide.  Nashville on the other hand, will have some of the best musicians playing for your entertainment in almost every bar.

Just recently, I (Jacob) took a trip to Nashville, Tennessee. My parents live in Tennessee, so I decided it was a good idea to keep my dad a little company since my mother took a trip to the Philippines to visit family. So the first thing we did was go to Broad Street for some bar hopping. The first place we went was called Legends.

Yuengling Lager
oldest American Brewery
I cannot describe how welcome I felt upon arrival. My father and I walked in and the musician on stage instantly asked how we were doing and where we were from. After I ordered myself a delicious Yuengling he asked what we wanted to hear. I quickly responded with "Don't Think Twice Its Alright," written by Bob Dylan. He played it on the acoustic and sung it like a legend ... which again is the name of the bar. (See what I did there?)

Yazoo - Native Brew
We decided to check out B.B. Kings Blues Bar right after, which I must say is heaven for the blues fanatic.  The absolute best thing about this location, besides the live bands playing on stage, is the family environment;  absolutely all ages are welcome.  So if you're in Nashville with the kids and looking for a good time to spend with family, I promise you will not leave disappointed.

It was quite an experience walking past every bar and hearing some type of live music playing. There is a book written by Lucinda Williams titled "Nashville's Lower Broad: The Street That Music Made." Walking down broad street and experiencing the music life fully made me understand the title. Being a musician myself meant that the Broad Street bars will always come to my mind as an amazing experience...especially with some beer!

Be safe and drink on,
Trick
