Growing up Filipino was always great when it came to the taste and amount of food. We used to wrap our dining table up with newspaper, dump a large box of crabs, invite family over and feast! It seemed like the delicious amounts of food would never end. That is, until I decided to move out. There are only a select few Filipino dishes that I know how to cook, so actually finding a small Filipino restaurant in Indianapolis had me more excited than a kid in a candy store.
Eduardo's is a very small family owned Filipino Restaurant located at 2412 East Raymond Street. I felt very welcome upon arrival and some what at home. There are no menus and no hosts. You simply order at the front desk which has a list of the dishes up there, then you find a seat.

I was shocked to see the variety of food that they had to offer. From things Ive never had to the Filipino favorites. One of the favorites is pork or chicken adobo. slow cooked in a deep sauce pan with garlic, vinegar, peppers and soy sauce. Very simple to make and very hard to mess up.
My absolute all time favorite is lumpia, a small assortment of vegetables and ground beef or pork wrapped in spring rolls and then deep fried. Its basically the Filipino Egg Roll. I ended up getting two orders of it.

The food was fresh, the staff was extraordinarily polite and I only ended up spending about twelve dollars to feed two. Why not try something a little new today? Head over to Eduardo's and get a little taste of the Filipino culture...
...and as always, Eat on!
